elite ballet theatre’s swan lake performance

December 9, 2016

I’m back again with pictures from Elite Ballet Theatre’s Swan Lake!

Since I got my micro four thirds camera and my iPhone, getting wide angle shots had been a big thing. Unfortunately, my 35mm lens on a cropped sensor DSLR just isn’t cutting it. Because of that, I’ve been using my DSLR less and less. 🙁 I decided to try out Nikon’s D750 for the show to see if I would like it.

coffee & conversation: graduation, the job search, and happiness

November 16, 2016

I have lots of great conversations with people. Sometimes these conversations are so inspiring, I think about them for the days following. I decided it would be awesome to share these discussions in the hopes that maybe it will inspire others as well.

This past weekend, I had brunch with Christy at Cafe Cluny in the West Village. We are both members of Kappa Alpha Theta, which is how we met. I was a senior when Christy was a freshman, so it has been a while since I’ve seen her. We met primarily to talk about her graduating and job search process. However, it became so much more than that

astoria, my new home.

November 13, 2016

Hello friends!

I moved to Astoria about two weeks ago. Yes, GOODBYE Upper West Side :”). My friend told me that if I moved to Astoria, I’d never cook again. I scoffed at that statement. Yet, since I’ve been here for 13 days, I have not cooked once. He was right.

Time to come back to food blogging.

labor day weekend 2016: new orleans, louisiana

September 6, 2016

Hello friends.

You’d think that will all my free time, I’d be blogging more?! Kidding. What free time? Besides sleeping, I have every hour of my day occupied. ‘Tis the life of someone who wants to follow their dreams.

I have been going HAM for the past weeks and started to burn out so I’d say this trip was a good one. Now onto my weekend in NOLA. 🙂

I wanted to go somewhere for Labor Day since I hadn’t since I started working two years ago. It was either Seattle or (I forget which city), but we somehow settled on New Orleans. I remember my parents went there when I was younger but that’s all. All I knew was, there were Mardi Gras necklaces.

back to the grind.

June 19, 2016

I must say, this week has been difficult for me. After taking 5 days off from everything – going to the gym, homework, work, etc. – I’ve been totally out of it. 🙁 Luckily, my Moleskine notebooks came, so I started my bullet journal! Since it is still a work in progress, I will be writing a separate post on that.

Now onto getting back into the grind.

I just came back from a five day trip in LA!

Lots and lots of pictures for you all, so please bear with me. 🙂 I’ll try to make it as much like a picture diary as possible with little stories here and there.

Shall we?

Corsaire + Chopped

June 6, 2016

First things first – let’s talk about this #pinkdrink everyone has been crazy about. Personally, I still have not tried it but I plan to later today. Basically, it is a Starbuck’s Strawberry Acai refresher with coconut milk instead of water. It has been everywhere. I tried to get it on Friday but for some reason they didn’t give me the coconut milk? 🙁 I snapped a picture of it anyway and somehow over the course of 2 days, garnered over 2000+ Instagram likes. Thanks guys??

a thought on health.

June 3, 2016

I thought it would be good to write up something about where I am fitness-wise and what my goals are.

To some extent, weight has always been an issue for me for as long as I remember. According to my mom, I wasn’t technically fat until the 5th grade. I guess it wasn’t until then that I started becoming self-conscious with my body. With both parents and a sister who are on the thin side, I was always the one who stood out from the group. I slowly got bigger and bigger until about sophomore year of high school, when I got to around 177 pounds. My mom became worried. Size 10 pants were getting tight and my body just kept ballooning.

memorial day weekend 2016: long beach + updates

June 1, 2016

First off, I guess there a couple of things to settle here.

I am once again going through lots of decisions in my life. Last week, I closed the real estate chapter of my life. It got to a point where I was starting to become unhappier and unhappier with each passing day. So there’s that.

I will be starting classes at Parsons next Monday. There’s that.

I have officially restarted Kayla Itsines’s BBG workout. I thought it would be helpful to blog about my weekly experiences not only with BBG but my health in general.

Now that I got that off my chest, onward to Memorial Day weekend spent at the beach! 🙂
