As you know if you been following my Instagram posts, I went on a bit of a food venture when I went home to LA. Sometimes I find it hard to tell people I’m from there and give them recommendations on what to eat and do because I personally haven’t done much myself. Most of the time, I only go home for two days or so, so it’s really hard to get anything done. I was back for six days the last time so I was super pumped to finally get to try things out!

Most places I see on Insta (which is where I find places to go) are pretty far out in downtown LA or on the west side. Since my parents work in the SGV, I had to search long and far for a place I could go to that was fairly close. Hence, I stumbled upon Hooshik.

So far, my LA trip has been great. I’ve been eating and exploring lots especially in the San Gabriel Valley area. Sometimes trying to find new places can be difficult in an area as large as LA county. I definitely still have lots to try but first, let’s talk about Matcha Matcha. Matcha Matcha is located in the Westfield Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia, California. It specializes in matcha flavored goodies, specifically soft serve, drinks and cookies.

When I think of a painted white brick wall with neon lights, I think of Mr. Holmes Bakehouse. I’ve seen pictures of this place all over my Instagram feed so I’ve been wanting to come for a while. Stuffed croffins, cream filled donuts and dipped croissants–what’s not to like?

For Justin’s birthday this year, I decided to take him to Las Vegas for the weekend! He’s been wanting to go for a while so I thought what better way to celebrate than to celebrate with gambling, drinking, and all the other deadly sins? Everything in moderation of course. It was mainly a food venture, so we didn’t go too crazy.
